Arsene Wenger says Barcelona wrangle has ‘unsettled’ Cesc Fabregas

ARSENE WENGER says Cesc Fabregas' on-off move to Barcelona is messing with his skipper's head.

Fabregas has been left out of Arsenal's squad for this weekend's Emirates Cup as the £40million transfer wrangle takes its toll.

The Arsenal midfielder is also suffering from a hamstring injury.

And Wenger said: "He is coming back from an injury and is not settled with us.

"You know all the speculation which is around his position, that has to be sorted out soon.

"I'm just worried that the player has to be completely focused and committed to our club.

"At the moment he's coming back from an injury and we have to sort out that situation.

"He is the captain of our club and we have to make sure he is really focused on being with us."

Barca have been turning up the heat on the Gunners in their pursuit to land the former Nou Camp kid.

Yet Wenger is refusing to budge and insists he will not let Fabregas go just because of his emotional struggle.

He added: "It would mean that anybody who just wants to leave we will have to let him go, and for any price.
